Business Education Built for the Beauty Industry
No fluff. No generic business advice with the word "beauty" added to it.
Lex Glo Academy courses are designed around the decisions beauty professionals actually have to make—from starting correctly to marketing, client growth, policies, finances, systems, hiring, leadership, scaling, and creating a business that can support your bigger goals.
FOUNDATIONS
Build it correct from the beginning.
Designed for beauty students, future business owners, new solo artists, and beauty professionals in approximately their first year of business.
Foundations helps students understand the business behind their talent—from setting up the business and understanding expenses to attracting clients, creating policies, establishing systems, protecting the business, and planning for sustainable growth.
ELEVATION
You’ve built the business. Now let’s build what’s next.
Elevation is designed for established beauty professionals who are no longer trying to figure out how to start—they're deciding how to grow.
The course dives deeper into profitability, systems, leadership, team development, strategic growth, client experience, marketing, time freedom, and building a business that doesn't depend entirely on the owner's hands and hours.
ONLINE EDUCATION
Big business lessons. Smaller commitments.
Not every business problem requires a full course.
Lex Glo Academy's online courses, workshops, and webinars tackle specific business topics so you can learn what you need, implement it, and keep moving.
FOUNDATIONS
Build the Business Behind Your Talent.
You learned your craft. Now it’s time to learn how to build a business around it.
-
Foundations is designed for beauty professionals who are preparing to enter business or are still in the earlier stages of business ownership.
It may be a good fit if you are a current beauty student planning for life after graduation; newly licensed and trying to determine your next steps; preparing to transition from employee to independent/solo artist; within your first year of business; already taking clients but realize your business foundation needs work; or talented at your service but unsure about the actual business side of being a beauty professional.
You do not need to have everything figured out before attending. That's the point.
-
Foundations takes students beyond simply registering a business or creating an Instagram account. We'll explore how the different pieces of a beauty business work together and how the decisions you make early can affect profitability, professionalism, client experience, and future growth.
Topics include areas such as business setup and operations; understanding expenses and financial fundamentals; pricing considerations; branding and positioning; identifying and reaching your ideal client; marketing and client acquisition; the client journey and retention; policies and procedures; booking and business systems; professional boundaries; compliance and business responsibilities; planning for growth; and creating goals you can actually implement.
The goal isn't for you to leave knowing everything about business.
The goal is for you to leave understanding your business well enough to know what questions to ask, what needs your attention, and what your next steps should be.
-
Your Foundations enrollment is expected to include the live in-person educational experience, the comprehensive Lex Glo Academy Foundations Textbook, guided exercises and implementation activities, practical tools and resources, opportunities to ask questions throughout the course, interaction and networking with other beauty professionals, and additional course-specific materials.
As final course dates are released, the exact inclusions for each session will be listed on the registration page.
-
In Person | Instructor-Led | Interactive
Foundations isn't designed to be a day of sitting in a chair while someone reads slides to you.
Expect instruction, discussion, workbook activities, examples, questions, implementation exercises, and conversations with other beauty professionals.
Class sizes may be limited to preserve the interactive experience.
-
Foundations will be offered multiple times throughout the year in different locations across the United States.
We are currently gathering interest to help determine where and when future classes should be held.

Your Foundations Course Questions, Answered
-
No. Foundations is intentionally designed to serve beauty students and future business owners as well as newer beauty professionals who have already started their businesses.
-
No. Lex Glo Academy focuses on business education rather than service technique. Foundations is intended for professionals from across the beauty industry. Students are responsible for understanding the licensing and regulatory requirements applicable to their profession and location.
-
Yes. Time in business doesn't necessarily determine what you've had an opportunity to learn. If you feel your business foundation is incomplete, Foundations may still be valuable. However, if you already have a strong foundation and are primarily focused on growth, systems, profitability, leadership, or scaling, Elevation may be the more relevant course.
-
No. Foundations is a business course. It does not provide technical training in esthetics, lashes, hair, nails, waxing, permanent makeup, or other beauty services.
-
No. While many students may begin as solo artists, the business principles discussed can also help beauty professionals who intend to start as an employee, build teams or grow into other business models.
-
Foundations is an educational business program offered by Lex Glo Academy. It should not be represented as a professional license or government-issued credential unless a particular offering later includes a separately identified credential.
-
You'll learn how to think more strategically about pricing and the factors that should influence it. Your actual pricing depends on your expenses, business model, services, market, goals, and other individual factors.
-
The purpose of Foundations is education and implementation—not a promise that every attendee will complete every aspect of their business during class. You'll leave with greater knowledge, resources, and actionable next steps you can continue implementing.
-
We are currently finalizing the course and dates are coming soon. Foundations will be offered in multiple U.S. locations throughout each year. Complete the Form on our Contact page to tell us where and when you'd like to attend and to be among the first contacted when registration opens.
ELEVATION
You've Built the Business. Now Let's Build What's Next.
There comes a point when the strategies that helped you start your beauty business aren't enough to help you grow it.
Elevation is an advanced, in-person business course created for established beauty professionals who are ready to look beyond simply staying booked and begin thinking more strategically about profitability, systems, leadership, growth, scalability, and freedom.
This is where we zoom out.
Instead of asking only, "How do I get more clients?", we start asking bigger questions:
Is the business profitable?
Are your systems supporting your growth?
Where is your time going?
What should you continue doing yourself—and what shouldn't you?
Is growth actually improving the business?
What does the next version of your business need from you as its owner?
Elevation is about helping you move from constantly working inside your business toward intentionally building the business itself.
-
Elevation is designed for established beauty professionals and business owners who already understand the fundamentals of running a business and are ready for the next level.
It may be a good fit if you have an established client base; have been operating long enough to have real business data and experiences to evaluate; want to improve profitability rather than simply increase revenue; feel like the business relies too heavily on you; need stronger systems and processes; are considering hiring, outsourcing, expanding, or changing your business model; want more control over your time; have reached a plateau; or know your business can grow but aren't sure what the next stage should look like.
-
Elevation explores the decisions that become increasingly important as a beauty business matures.
Topics may include evaluating the financial health of your business; revenue versus profitability; client acquisition and retention at a more strategic level; improving the client experience; creating and refining systems; automation and integration; capacity and time management; identifying bottlenecks; delegation and outsourcing; hiring for weaknesses; employee versus contractor considerations; leadership and team development; marketing strategy; strategic growth; scaling responsibly; measuring performance; creating additional revenue opportunities; risk and business protection; and designing growth around your long-term goals.
Most importantly, we'll examine the difference between growing because you can and growing because it supports the business and life you're trying to create.
-
Elevation is expected to include the live in-person educational experience, the comprehensive Lex Glo Academy Elevation Textbook, advanced exercises and implementation activities, business evaluation tools, worksheets and planning resources, opportunities for discussion and questions, networking with other established beauty professionals, and additional course-specific materials.
Exact inclusions will accompany each scheduled course announcement.
-
In Person | Advanced Business Education | Interactive

We're currently accepting Course Interest Forms to help determine future cities and dates.
Visit our Contact page and tell us you're interested in Elevation, where you'd like to attend, and what time of year works best for you.

Your Elevation Course Questions, Answered
-
Think less about how many years you've held a license and more about the stage of your business.
If you're still establishing your business structure, understanding expenses, creating policies, learning client acquisition and building foundational systems, start with Foundations.
If those pieces already exist and you're focused on profitability, efficiency, leadership, systems, capacity, delegation, or strategic growth, explore Elevation.
-
No. A solo beauty professional can have a highly established business and face many of the same questions surrounding profitability, systems, capacity, outsourcing, automation, and growth.
-
Absolutely not. Growth doesn't have to mean employees, multiple locations, or a huge company. Part of Elevation is determining what growth actually means for your goals.
For one owner, that could mean a team. For another, it could mean staying solo while increasing profitability and working fewer service hours.
-
Hiring, outsourcing, delegation, and related business considerations may be covered as part of broader growth and systems discussions. Elevation is business education and does not replace individualized legal, tax, accounting, or HR advice.
-
You'll have opportunities to apply concepts to your own business, but Elevation is a group educational experience rather than private consulting. Owners who need individualized analysis can explore Lex Glo Academy Coaching.
-
Potentially. An established business doesn't have to be thriving before you attend. However, if significant foundational pieces are missing, Foundations and/or individual coaching may be a better starting point.
